• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi again, everyone! I've taken on a new pen name, and have just signed the first contract for Ravenna Tate's debut story - Snowbound - with Evernight Publishing. :)

Here is Ravenna's website:

http://ravennatate.blogspot.com

Snowbound is a 12K story for Evernight's Romance On The Go line, and it's pretty tame compared to most of my stuff, but I wanted to get back in with them and this story was one I wrote a long time ago but never did anything with.

I have an entire series planned for them, and hope to submit the first book in that series next month.

Off I go to write!! :D

Tara, that is awesome! Congratulations! :D Did you get to choose your pen name? I've often wondered this because I'm a bit of a secretive person (not in a snipey, stab stab way) and would like to work under one. I think.

While congratulations are certainly in order I feel compelled to caution you on the dangers split personality disorder.
Note to self: author writes under various pen names and forgets own identity in horrifying vampire zombie fantasy romance thriller. with a murder.

Perhaps Tara/Ravenna prefers her alt lives Octopus. I know I'd love to be three, or four folk. I could let the others do the work and just spend all my time writing... saying that i'd then get annoyed that my other personalities weren't doing it right and there would be arguments and falling outs and... can you murder your other personalities? hmmmm

Ok. I'll just stick to Karen me thinks
