Although there is currently no ban on TikTok in the UK, it is being reported that the US ban, which is now in force, 'is likely to spread to US allies, including the UK' (BBC).
There is a potentially useful article in The Bookseller on the subject of what to do instead of TikTok. I'm never sure when non-subscribers can access TB articles, but here is the link.
