Using the Chat Room in the Colony is easy – simply click the “Chat” button in the main menu and you’re there:

All members, whether Full or Basic, have full use of the Chat Room. You can use the Chat Room to:
  • Chat socially with any other members who are around
  • Collaborate or brainstorm with other members
  • Give or request other members' advice or assistance
The main chat room is called “Colony Chat”. When you access the Chat Room, that’s what you’ll see first of all, and it’s probably the main area you’ll use for group chats. Anything posted in the “Colony Chat” room can be seen by all other members – but not by the general public.

However, you can also create your own private chat room and invite specific people into it. You can even password-protect it.

Remember that Litopians are drawn from all over planet Earth, so you may have to take time zones into account when fixing to chat with another member.

Once you’re in a chat room, type “/help” (without quotation marks) to see a full list of the chat commands available to you.
