• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Congratulations Carol, you certainly are a professional. What's it like to work for Evernight?
Thanks! :) I love Evernight. Stacey (the owner) is always professional, and she usually answers emails the same day. I run story ideas by her all the time and she's honest about what she thinks would sell well with their readers, or what might not, and why. My editor is a former Litopian, and she's fabulous. Once in a while I have another editor when Karyn gets backed up, and I've never had a bad experience with any of them. The covers are fabulous, and our readers seem to love them. Their contracts are straightforward, and they do a lot more promotion and advertising than a much larger publisher I used to write for does. I'm very happy I took on this new name so I could go back to writing for them. :)
