You must get so fed up answering this one. I can remember asking it myself, ages ago.

Not really I’d love to have a system which was open to authors, i.e. they could easily see their place in the queue (and maybe even pay to expedite it, if they became impatient). But I don’t think such software exists, and it would be too expensive to commission.
