• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

This open access online journal has only just come to my attention, but it's got some fascinating material in it for those who write for young people, especially the MG and YA age groups.

It was set up by two authors, one of whom (Lucy Cuthew) authored a book that was recommended on an edition of Pop-Up Submissions a year or two back (Blood Moon).

Only two editions of Leaf Journal have been published so far, but they're well worth checking out in terms of literary criticism and academic discourse applied to children's writing (which is often dismissed across the board as not having "literary merit" — an example of intellectual snobbery which has always irritated me).
