• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

As many of you know, I´ve been a silent visitor at all the meet ups so far because either my microphone does not work or is incompatible with fuze. ( I´m guessing it just doesn´t work, period.) Does anyone know of any programs I can download to check if my mic is working properly? If not, I might have to buy a new one. I don´t want to be muted forever!:(

What computer are you using?

NB. Most phones these days have built-in mikes and cameras, very easy.

It´s A compaq CQ 45 laptop. Not a very interesting laptop.
It does have a built in mike and camera, but I prefer using headset.

Hi, I have tested my microphone (working well), then I tested my camera (not working) but I'm not sure how to fix it. The Online Tool suggestions did not help.

Is the camera built into the computer?
If not, have you tried the camera with another computer?
Does the camera work for some applications on your computer? but not others?
What is the Specification of your camera (make, model, software version)
What is the specification of your computer (Windows 7, 8 or 10?)

Built-in camera that was working fine for last months Fuze meeting. No settings changed from then, so I'm confused.
Windows 10. I'll try playing about with the settings as I may have turned off the camera setting somewhere, not sure where though...
