• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

Hi there, my name is Jaye and I live on the South Wales coast not far from Cardiff, it really is a beautiful part of the world.

I like to read most things but am not a big fan of crime drama. I’m mostly interested in reading period drama, especially based during both world wars, but I also love a good horror.

I have been a screenwriter and playwright for just over a decade, and have now turned my hand to writing prose; I am currently on the second chapter of my first novel.

The thing that I am struggling with the most is POV and past tense. Scripts are written in the present tense and every character has their own point of view, but I am getting there, slowly.

I love walking, swimming and photography.

Have a good pootle around the site and feel free to ask us anything you like. Hope to see you in the chat room for the Pop-up Submissions on Sunday afternoon.
