• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

"Frankly, there isn't anyone you couldn't learn to love once you've heard their story." A great quote from Andrew Stanton. One to bear in mind, always.

and

"Drama is anticipation mingled with uncertainty."

"The water is stiff!"

I hereby reclaim all the innocent words which have been twisted to hold sexual connotations...stiff, toss, screw, slam, and all the rest.

Thanks for sharing, PJ. I've been in a bit of a slump and needed that. Stanton's story about needing blood transfusions to survive when he was born prematurely hit me. I went through the same thing. It took me a long time to realise that my first passion (storytelling) was the only thing I was really good at, and though I failed at everything else, those blood donors did not donate in vain.
