"I know it's great. I spent the whole Christmas hols writing it. And I know you'll love it too so I sent you the whole thing."

"Comparative books? Oh, I don't read any. I don't want them to affect my style. What I have read though are crap compared to mine. Read it and you'll see."
The best advice I can give these folk is to start coming to Huddles. I do suggest this sometimes, to those projects that seem to have some potential. The response is always no, and quite often offence is taken.
