OH My what an incredibly beautiful place. Lucky you. I'd have to visit the out door market if it's the day-Stoberry Park Garden and the Mendip museum. Then I'd probably check out what kind of internet reception you get in the local pubs and restaurants. An indicator of what you can expect. The Root looks like just the place.

OH, OH OH!!! yes, please! Milton Lodge Gardens. I'm bouncing in my chair with excitement for you. Where they filmed Hot Fuzz. All those location people cant be wrong.

I've never been there myself but they say it's the smallest city in England - so it must be nice- Any houses for sale? @AgentPete

Thanks, all Loved it. Only thing I didn’t like was, yes, the cellphone reception is indeed lousy. But just for a day, that’s fine. Spent the night in the White Hart, nice waking up early and seeing the real Wells, afore the tourists (um, me) descend. People extremely friendly, just like Wilts folk. Didn’t see everything, will return.

I definitely want to go now. Seems like one of England's hidden gems. Not really on the tourist track maybe? I'm hearing accents from all over in Wexford Town now. I think we are getting rain tourism from Europe. Escape the blazing heat to damp cool, green, Ireland.
