I don't think I'll succeed. But I'll give it another week or so. Apparently, on GoFundMe, if you don't reach your target, you keep the money; that sounds very dodgy to me, so I'll pay the money back to the donors.
This spring, we had an invasion of the little red ones, too. Hundreds of them everywhere. And 10 years ago, I was bitten by an unknown spider, and it went necrotic (my flesh, not the spider), and it still hurts today.
Does anyone here remember me? I feel embarrassed to be posting after such a long silence. But I swear, I've been busy. I won a free place on an Urban Writers Retreat, and used it to finish my time slip novel and start an eco-thriller. In the meantime, I entered my screenplay of the Panopticon...
For my fellow Litopians, a little thing I spotted this morning on Threads:
Irish author Sally Rooney is being threatened by the British government with up to FOURTEEN YEARS in prison for saying she would donate the proceeds from her book to Palestine Action. If you're an author this should...
I'd like to give it a go. I'm going to try my hand at a political eco-thriller. Potential log line is: When a brilliant young biochemist creates a virus to peacefully reduce the human population and force global climate reform, her plan is hijacked by a grief-stricken radical, turning her act of...

I entered my first-ever screenplay of my first-ever adaptation of my first-ever novel (The Panopticon). I didn't get into the finals, but I did get a lovely letter:
"We’re so sorry to tell you that your script was not selected for the final shortlist.
However, it remained after several...
I have won an Urban Writers scholarship to do their Six Month Novel writing online retreat. It runs from 10/3/25-7/9/25. The trouble is, now I have to do the work!! I proposed an eco/political thriller (so far from my comfort zone, I can't even see it on the horizon). But I'm really, really...
I'm looking for books to read that have good examples of Father/daughter relationships, moral dilemmas; the boundaries between doing the right thing and doing the legal thing (not always the same).
Stories that look at the parental dilemma when they find their child is guilty of a crime, and/or...
