Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I've broken the 30,000 words barrier on the WIP, still at least eight more chapters to draft (might come up with extra story to put in somewhere). Also, just posted two of my poems in The World Between Words, not done that before.

A supernatural fantasy involving ghosts, other worlds and cats. My protagonist is 17 years old, first of a series, maybe a trilogy.

Got it drafted, broke it into two chapters. Concerned they have too much exposition dumping but I need to put it in somewhere.

I'm about to start The Dark Tower, the final volume of Stephen King's saga. I've also been re-reading some of the Charlie Parker books, which are superb thrillers with a very significant dash of horror (like when a recipe says use 2 cloves of garlic and you use 12). I'm planning to re-read...

Thanks @RK Wallis, to be honest it's been on hold a while, but I've picked it up again and I'm developing it further. I've aged the main character a little bit and I'm building a little more of his backstory in as well.

Thanks RK. I've just finished working on one of the new chapters, not completed but I need to stop working so I can go training. Rest day tomorrow so will aim to get that one finished and the next one at least eaten into.
