Further personal background on my Wikipedia page, plus a chance to see my late lamented beard. I've lost about 17 kilos since then, yay! .
Just in case you were wondering, here is my Amazon Wish List. Not for the faint-hearted.

With my partner Peggy Brusseau, I've written or co-written some two dozen books, including several No. 1 national bestsellers here in the UK, such as "Why You Don't Need Meat" (Thorsons / HarperCollins UK / St Martins Press US); "Linda McCartney's Home Cooking" (Bloomsbury); "LifePoints" (Bloomsbury UK / Simon & Schuster US); "Superliving" (Orion) etc.
Before writing, I ran an advertising agency. I became a literary agent because I was generally dissatisfied with the level of service offered by most existing literary agencies (I had three and eventually sacked them all). Most literary agents are either former publishers themselves, or have inherited the family business - neither of which qualifies them to see the business from the client's point of view.
Founding Litopia was one of the most satisfying things I've ever done!
