In answer to the question. No, not personally. But following @CageSage 's link I just did a simple search in Amazon (history of fantasy) and it brought up these. Some seem on message. Others not so much so.

The Cambridge Companion to Fantasy Literature: Edward James and Farah Mendlesohn​

The Cambridge Companion (James & Mendlesohn, 2012) that Serra mentions above is a good jumping off point. And Rhetorics of Fantasy (Mendlesohn, 2013) is also worth taking a look at. I don't know if that's recent enough for you though, Peyton.
