See this thread to see what's happening to the craft and writing sections.
I'm willing to do some stuff, but I can't do it without others.
Anyone?
I know how to do internal links (not sure about doing them in a wiki, but happy to learn if you're willing to share knowledge), and I'm good with putting things in their place. Ex-technical editor, programmer/coding/project implementation and documentation/training.
How can you put my skills to use to keep our craft and skills wiki up and running, flexible and accessible?

Anyone?

This is a resource, available free, which is a boon to writers. There are many places to find bits and pieces of advice to writers, but most of it is simplified or outdated or confusing.
What's on the posts here take the issues and shake out the dust, written by Litopia's senior writer/s, and solid.
I'm happy to do the documentation work (internal links, formatting, etc.)
-- does someone want to be the big kahuna of the wiki once it's established, to oversight updates and changes, additions and clean-ups?

Put your hand up, or risk missing out on an excellent, and free, resource.

I don't want to lose the resource, but with everything I volunteer already, I'm squeezed for time. If no one else can though, I'd rather help than lose it. I'm always referring to Carol's Wiki entries too, they're more detailed than most stuff you Google. So bear me in my mind. It would be nice to see someone new step up though :)

It’s not as daunting as you might fear, folks. Really, it just consists of organising existing material. Does not involve the coding antics etc that a Wikipedia entry requires. We have a lot of material at the moment, but in no order whatsoever. If you don;’t hit the right search keyword, you’ll never find what you’re looking for.

Would be a piece of cake for someone who is naturally organised, a librarian, etc.

Okay. We have a runner in the gates. Need instructions. I'm happy to set up the formatting, if someone else (thanks, @Matthew Snoding ) can upload to the Wiki? Formatting I can do without a mouse, but I'm almost certain the Wiki stuff needs mouse-wrangling, which I can't do for long.

@AgentPete : If you want to send me the basics (with cc to co-conspirator, Matt), with the instructions, I'll get started next week (have some editing to finish) and then pass it on.

Well, that's me out :rolling-on-the-floor-laughing:

I'm sorry, @CageSage I did consider it but I'm very free range (not of an organised disposition) and up to my eyeballs at the moment...
Thanks, Emily. The thought is appreciated.

Thanks, Rachel -- would you like to be the first tester of the formatting?

@AgentPete
Two other runners in the gate:
@David Y & @Matthew Snoding
and me. I'm happy to do the formatting (internal doc links and such, if it will be req'd) and leave the page and construction/updates of such to the above two volunteers. You said it wouldn't take much??
Might need to do a 'discussion' on what's required from go to whoa, though. I haven't done any of this since they were introduced as knowledge base instruments, unique to each section/workplace.
