A wide ranging conversation between Peter and Gary Dartnall, former Chairman and Chief Executive of Thorn EMI Films Ltd., Thorn EMI Video Ltd., Elstree Studios London and the ABC Cinemas, the largest chain of theatres in the United Kingdom; long time director and Chairman of the British Academy of Film & Television Arts, Los Angeles and recipient of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen of England for services to the British and American film industries.

This chat was very entertaining. Thank you for sharing. And Gary's words of advice re "rejection" and "luck" were much appreciated after a rollercoaster week with two rejections and one huge pitch followed by a request. Onward. Always onward.

Good luck with the request! :clapping-hands: :shamrock::four-leaf-clover::crossed-fingers:

Anyone in Edinburgh should watch a film in the Dominion Cinema, Morningside. A family-run cinema, they did have to ditch the quaint golden-oldie style cafe and put in another theatre (a small one you can hire for your party if you've loads of dosh), but the two main theatres are a delight. At the front are normal cinema-seats, but the back half has comfy sofas and pouffes. After buying your wine and ice-cream-tub at the bar, you can take them into the theatre with you. You and your friend can share the table between your pouffes.
