It's a sub-genre of fantasy. I have read agent wishes for comedy and fantasy. Can't remember who because that's not where my stories fit.
Good to know they are out there. The humour agents I've found want Bridget Jones Knock offs, or guys.

Bridget Jones is one of the worst books I've ever read - both narratively and ethically. If all agents wanted that kind of bilge*, I'd stop writing now.

*Insert big swear of choice.

If you want to sell it as "funny." It had better have the BJ kind of voice. That's why Pratchett's original books are much more fantasy and not as funny or as good. They were genre. Humour is very gender based. After all women aren't funny, unless they are BJ.

Or fleabag.

BTW I learnt what BJ stands for when one of the kids I taught in a tuition school for the rich expelled was called it as a nickname. One of the other girls took me aside and explained what it meant. (They were very interesting kids. I loved teaching there.)
