• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

square_alt.pngA couple of years back, Litopian Annie Summerlee started workshopping and Huddling a new writing project.

If you've ever watched Litopia’s Pop-Up Submissions on YouTube, you’ll immediately recognize Annie – her brilliant manuscript crits were incisive, helpful and often very funny!

Well, fast forward two years, and publishers have been fighting to get hold of Annie’s first book – The Book of Blood and Roses, just published in the UK by Penguin and in the US by HarperCollins.

Annie Summerlee's journey to successful publication is a Litopian dream… and it’s encouraging to remember that dreams do come true! And of course, it’s also important to recognize all the hard work that turns a dream into reality.

We’re delighted to announce that Annie will be our live special guest on Litopia’s Book Club this Saturday.
Come along and meet Annie live, and hear about her journey to success. Starting at 8 p.m UK time (other times in link below), the author will discuss her journey to publication.

As with all Book Club meetings, the Zoom gathering is free and open to everyone who wishes to attend.
