• Café Life is the Colony's main hangout, watering hole and meeting point.

This is a place where you'll meet and make writing friends, and indulge in stratospherically-elevated wit or barometrically low humour.

Some Colonists pop in religiously every day before or after work. Others we see here less regularly, but all are equally welcome. Two important grounds rules…

We now allow political discussion, but strongly suggest it takes place in the Steam Room, which is a private sub-forum within Café Life. It’s only accessible to Full Members.

Nice coverage today in BookBrunch, the daily news service for the book industry. Also attached as a pdf since most of BookBrunch is behind a paywall.

It’s good that the publishing industry knows about Short Story Hunters, I suspect many of them will give it a listen and having your work on the show will give you a few brownie points of recognition.

Nice one, @Barbara and @Jonny :)

I love a Guinness in the Winter in particular. I'll raise a glass go you next time @Steve C

My favourite sport is rugby. I love watching it but effing Guinness sponsors a lot of English rugby so at half time I have to watch pints of the delicious stuff being poured in front of me + the sound of it as it fills the glass with a beautiful creamy top. I swear someone upstairs is targetting me with these ads. If I don't get out of the room quick enough I can't tear myself away and have to watch it and miss it and miss it and miss it.
I must have done something very bad at some time in my life to deserve such torture.
