Just to say that you can now upload LibreOffice documents to the Colony.

LibreOffice documents have .odt as their file suffix, as opposed to Microsoft Word which has either .doc or .docx.

LibreOffice is free, community-driven open source software that we probably ought to have supported a long time ago. Many writers use it (hey, it’s free!) and it pretty much matches Microsoft Word feature for feature, albeit one or two releases ago. I’ve used it for a long time, alongside Word.

The two programs will read and write each other’s file formats. Natively supporting the LibreOffice .odt format here simply makes it easier for LibreOffice folk to upload their work directly, rather than having to convert it to Word.
